Deine Aufgaben
ENTWICKLUNG
  • Du entwickelst neue oder verbesserst bereits existierende Funktionen unserer Kubernetes basierten Plattform.
  • Dabei legst Du besonderes Augenmerk auf Wartbarkeit, Automatisierung, Betrieb und Zuverlässigkeit.
  • Die von Dir entwickelte Funktionalität erfüllt unsere hohen Ansprüche an Design, Code Qualität und Test Automatisierung.
  • Mit Deinem technischen Cloud Know-How unterstützt Du in der Weiterentwicklung unserer Plattform, auch hinsichtlich Skalierung und Ausfallsicherheit, um den steigenden Last- und Verfügbarkeitsanforderungen gerecht zu werden.

TEAM & ZUSAMMENARBEIT
  • Du bist Teil unseres agilen Teams, in welchem besonderer Wert auf Shared Code - Ownership, Knowledge - Transfer und Code - Reviews gelegt wird.
  • Du entwirfst und implementierst neuen Funktionen bzw. unterstützt jüngere Kollegen dabei.

FORSCHUNG & INNOVATION
  • Du bist laufend auf der Suche nach neuen Innovationen und Lösungen, die eine Verbesserung unserer Plattform darstellen könnten.
  • Durch den Besuch von führenden Fachkonferenzen bleibst Du Up-To-Date mit den neuesten Trends und Standards.
  • Mittels selbst entwickelter Prototypen kannst Du das Potential und die Anwendbarkeit für unsere Plattform demonstrieren, um im IT Team eine Entscheidung für das weitere Vorgehen treffen zu können.

QUALITÄT & EVANGELISM
  • Durch die konstante Verbesserung der Entwicklungs- und Betriebsabläufe mittels Automatisierung strebst Du beständig nach einer Reduzierung von Click - Ops mit dem Ziel fortlaufend neue Funktionen in die Produktionsumgebung zu pushen.
  • Du bist „die“ technische Ansprechperson für unsere Kubernetes basierte Plattform für interne und externe Entwicklungspartner. 
  • Du kannst den Mehrwert unserer Plattform sowie die dahinterliegenden technischen Konzepte erklären und gibst dein Wissen gerne weiter.
Dein Profil
  • Du bringst Erfahrung mit Kubernetes und Kenntnisse der Konzepte und Best Practices, insbesondere Controllers und Operators, mit.
  • Du hast langjährige Programmiererfahrung mit Java / Python und/oder Go (oder eine ähnliche Programmiersprache) sowie mit Apache Kafka und Frontends (React).
  • Du kennst dich gut mit Authentifizierung und Autorisierung mittels OIDC (KeyCloak) aus.
  • Du besitzt praktische Erfahrung mit Software-Entwicklungsparadigmen (Pull Requests / Code Reviews / Pair Programming / usw.).
  • Idealerweise hast Du Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Cloud Anbietern wie Azure oder aws und on Premise Kubernetes.
  • Erfahrung mit Grafana und Prometheus, Istio (Service Meshes im allgemeinen) und Zertifikat Management sind von Vorteil.
  • Du sprichst fließend Deutsch und hast sehr gute Englischkenntnisse.
  • Trotz der Möglichkeit aus dem Homeoffice zu arbeiten, bist Du gerne regelmäßig vor Ort.

Your mission
DEVELOPMENT
  • You are developing new or improving existing features of our Kubernetes based platform.
  • You pay special attention to maintainability, automation, operation and reliability.
  • The functionality you have developed meets our high standards of design, code quality and test automation.
  • With your technical know-how, you support the further development of our platform, also in terms of scaling and resilience, to meet the increasing load and availability requirements.

TEAM & COOPERATION
  • You are part of our agile team, which focuses on shared code ownership, knowledge transfer and code reviews.
  • You create and implement new functions or support younger colleagues.

RESEARCH & INNOVATION
  • You are constantly looking for new innovations and solutions that could improve our platform.
  • By attending leading conferences, you stay up-to-date with the latest trends and standards.
  • With the help of self-developed prototypes, you can demonstrate the potential and applicability for our platform in order to be able to make a decision on how to proceed in a team.

QUALITY & EVANGELISM
  • By constantly improving development and operations through automation, you are constantly striving to reduce click-ops with the goal of continuously pushing new functions into the production environment.
  • You are "the" technical contact person for our Kubernetes based platform for internal and external development partners.
  • You can explain the added value of our platform and the technical concepts behind it and share your knowledge.
Your profile
  • You are experienced with Kubernetes, added by a deepened knowledge of concepts and best practices, especially controllers and operators.
  • You have many years of programming experience with Java, Python and/or Go (or a similar programming language) as well as with Apache Kafka and Frontends (React).
  • You are well acclaimed and capable using OIDC (KeyCloak).
  • You have practical experience with software development paradigms (pull requests, code reviews, pair programming, etc.).
  • Ideally, you have knowledge of dealing with cloud providers such as Azure or aws and on Premise Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Grafana and Prometheus, Istio (service meshes in general) and certificate management are beneficial.
  • Despite the possibility of working from home, you like to be on site regularly.
